 This is not my first Jennifer Lyons read, but the first paranormal one. It is the first book in the series of Wing Slayers. We meet Axe and Darcy the couple the book focuses on. Darcy has just lost her adopted mom and is trying to keep things normal.

Some weird things happen, and she isn't sure. Axe needs a witch and it just so happens Darcy is one. To be exact she is one his evil dad has informed him of. Darcy has no clue she is a witch, but fate intercedes and the axle is forced to kidnap her.

There are moments of sadness, frustration and a big sense of family. I love the loyalty between the hunters, and can I say hot guys. Darcy is sassy and caring and the two have issues to overcome. Yet they do and get the happily ever after they deserve. This is a series you will love and come back for more.
