I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review. Amy Jarecki is a new author for me, when I saw the cover. I thought a story about a Highland warrior is one of my favorite types of historicals. I was not disappointed a bit this is the start of a new series. Lord Colin Campbell's wife died during child birth and he decides no more falling in love. The loss hurts to much to live through the chance of loosing another wife. So he petitions the king in help for finding a wife to care for his son. As he is sure he will be called to serve in the Crusades in the holy land.
