Another great story to the Double S ranch series, this is Trey's story. Dealing with some of his own demons, he needs to deal with. Trey the nephew who was adopted by Sam Stafford, tests positive as a donor. He jumps at the chance to be able to save his uncle/adopted father. Regretting not giving up singing, he's made his home closer to Nashville. Though at the chance to help he is back.
On his way back, he has a small fender bender with Lucy Carlton. Lucy is devastated as her profit is lost in the river. Then Sam asks Trey to help Lucy to make amends for his wrong doing. The attraction is there though Lucy has many other worries. As well as not ready to trust her feelings. Time has shown her how her choices turn out. Though she regrets nothing as it gave her, her children. Still, she and Trey both must see beyond the surface and trust in God and each other. When Trey is ill from the transplant the scare is all too real of losing him forever.
Accepting Sam's help as a way to mend fences isn't easy, but somehow she does. As well as taking her second chance at happiness for herself, as well as her children. This book shows us that forgiveness is possible. To open your heart to the possibility that a human being can change for the better. A great sweet story that shows how family and friends work together helping each other. I received a copy of book in exchange for a honest review.

Once I started I couldn't put it down. I finished it in one setting. Skye writes about characters with "Real issues". So much so that you can feel their happiness, frustration and more. The romance between Rachel and Nathan is a wild emotional ride that I couldn't get off. I was happy yet sad (in the way of it bein...
